Archery Fun!

Recently I have participated in Archery and it was really interesting and fun!

Before we did archery, we had to go through all the safety rules to make sure we were all safe in this potentially dangerous sport.  This was run at Squadron by the staff Archery Instructor Sergeant Smedley, assisted on the range by CI Owen. This was a great experience for me as I hadn’t done archery for a long time.

The aim of Archery is to try and get the arrow to hit the middle of the target which is the highest point which is number 15 and get the highest score.

During the session we played some mini activities which were really interesting.  We played against each other to see who could gain the most points. We also played other target based games which were all really fun. Finally, we would play a game where you would blow up a balloon and put your name on it and put it on the target and people would aim at your balloon. A really fun night and I would like to thank all the staff at Squadron for making this happen.
