Well done to the 5 cadets from 148 (Barnsley) Squadron who have completed all their required training and assessed expedition for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards. The journey challenged the group physically and navigationally, but all candidates rose to that challenge and worked really well as a team.

We kept close to home with the cadets journeying around the Barnsley area, camping overnight at Silverwood Scout Camp in Silkstone.

The weather was changeable, sunny with cloudy moments, but overall, everyone had been in good spirits! My thanks go to the Squadron staff team who have invested so much time and work into the cadets. I believe these cadets are going for Silver in the future! Well done all and good luck on the next step of the journey.
