Barnsley Air Cadets celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style

To honour the Queens Platinum Jubilee we held a parents night at 148 (Barnsley) Squadron. Parents, friends, relatives of the wider 148 Squadron family attended to watch the cadets on parade and enjoy the evening. Plenty of displays, the flight simulator was working and a food spread fit for a royal banquet. Also as part of the celebrations all cadets, staff and civilian committee were presented with a very stylish challenge coin with the Jubilee official emblem on one side and the Squadron crest against the Union flag on the reverse. This is a gift from the Squadron to the Squadron family at this once in a lifetime event. As with all Squadrons in the Corps, returning from the challenges of COVID-19 has been a difficult road and this event was a welcome return for the wider family to get together.
