On the 2nd and 3rd of April, nine 148 (Barnsley) Squadron cadets were joined by cadets and staff from 23 (South Elmsall) Squadron and took part in an Initial Expedition Training Weekend. The cadets had lessons in packing rucksacks, map reading, grid references, camp craft, first aid and emergencies, tents and cooking. A nice long walk from 148 Squadron HQ to Silverwood Scout Camp. Cadets from both units made good friends and are all looking forward to their upcoming The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze expeditions in the near future.
